We are mOBiNurses Inc.
Engage-Educate-Empower.
That is our mission and way of life.
We are a community of Perinatal Support Advocates with an aim to reduce the maternal and infant mortality rates among vulnerable populations.
To do this we:
-Engage with the communities most affected by this crisis
-Educate them on the risks and statistics of birthing and the benefits of perinatal support
-Empower these communities by providing the perinatal support that would commonly be inaccessible to them.
We are actively shifting the narrative that perinatal support is a luxury or a privilege. It is a fundamental right and anyone with the knowledge, expertise, access, and influence should be doing their part to move the needle. Reproductive justice is our calling and it is our honor to serve the community.
Maternal health is one of the greatest indicators of a society's wellbeing.
If birthing people and babies are not taken care of properly, society as a whole is doing poorly.
The maternal health crisis we face here in the United States is an SOS situation.
Disenfranchised communities and their allies all over the country have decided
enough is enough and have banded together to make a change.
We are a team of licensed RNs, midwives, certified doulas and Perinatal Support Advocates
that offer an array of advocacy and support services to populations of underserved communities in the Columbus and surrounding areas during all stages of pregnancy, birth,
and up until baby's first birthday - at no cost to them!
The mOBiDifference
Here's what sets us apart from the rest. mOBiNurses inc is owned and operated by a team of obstetrically trained nurse experts (RN and Certified Nurse Midwife) with a combined over 50 years of nursing experience in the Women's health Field. We also have a board certified OBGYN physician on our Board of Directors serving as our Chief Medical Officer.
What This Means For Our Clients
Perinatal support is a team effort. With obstetrically trained experts available for our clients and doula staff, clients don't have to worry about not being supported if their pregnancy becomes categorized as high risk. Our 24/7 RN Clinical Liaison set up provides support and advice any time a client's condition proves to be out of the doula scope of practice, to answer questions, review labs, or provide clinical guidance.
What This Means For The Providers We Work With
We aim to bridge the gap and begin to heal the historically antagonistic relationship between perinatal support workers and medical/nursing staff. As an RN owned, physician backed organization that truly believes in the power and benefit of perinatal support, our staff approach births from the team perspective and aim to create a collegial environment in every birthing space that provides the most peaceful and safe environment for our clients.
